Senior Sr. Drupal8 Backend Developer | Amsterdam Sloterdijk

We have recently extended our long-lived and stable core development team for Telegraaf.nl with additional feature and component teams. In one of these teams, we have a vacancy for a Senior Drupal Back End Developer.

The goal of the project is to prepare for the market launch and take care of the continuous development of user features on all devices. Being one of the largest media brands in The Netherlands, these releases will bring TMG well ahead of the competition.

It goes without saying that we use the latest technologies, such as (headless) Drupal 8, GraphQL, React, Node.js, etc.

The so-called ‘Desking-tool’ is going to be a template based WYSIWYG editing interface for our journalists. You will be responsible for the development of the back end for this new Desking-tool and keep it performant and secure.

• 5+ years of Drupal development
• REST
• Experience with Drupal 8
• Advanced MySQL & PHP skills
• Knowledgeable about Linux, DevOps, Git
• Able to manage and improve the full Build, Test (automation), Deployment pipeline
• Knows and uses ways of keeping the software quality high (unit testing, integration testing, software quality metrics, monitoring)
• Strong problem decomposition skills
• Must have an academic degree from an accredited university/college or equivalent experience
• Ability to communicate with more people than just the team, Agile/Lean mindset, independent thinker and team player at the same time
• Understands design patterns (when, why, how)
