Your challenge
For our business Personal Health Solutions, we are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer who can join one of our development teams.
Philips is intensifying its activities in the ‘continuous personal health’ domain where we use services and devices to help consumers to take better care of their own health by providing them with personalized insights into their health and coaching them to achieve better lifestyle. We do this by bringing together our clinical expertise with our ability to develop engaging user interfaces and devices, as well as our insights into consumer motivations. You will work in a highly paced team with ambitious goals and be part of a new and highly dynamic business within Philips.
Your responsibilities
As a Senior Java Developer, you will join a development team of approx. 6-8 engineers. You will contribute to the design and implementation of a variety of cloud based software components. Together these components, combined with external components, constitute an IT platform through which PHS delivers its services.
Your team
This role is part of the Innovation & Development team in the Personal Health Solutions business group within Philips. We aim at delivering high quality and clean software. The team follows an agile working, which includes test driven development and pair programming.
This position is located in Eindhoven and you will report directly to the local development manager.
Functie eisen
• Bachelor+ education
• 3-7 years of experience as Java Web Developer
• Team player with good communication skills (English)
• Can operate effectively in a multi-site/multi-cultural environment
• Willing to travel
Required experience (must-haves):
• Development of Java EE applications
• Object Oriented programming languages and software development
• HTML, CSS, Javascript
• SQL Databases / NoSQL Databases
Nice-to-have experience:
• Java Spring
• Junit
• Test Driven Development
• Web frameworks
• Mobile development
• Agile Scrum, Scaled Agile Framework
• Having worked with teams in India
